These days, the choices for CBD-infused products can range from edibles, tinctures, salves, balms, beverages, and more. And although these are the obvious ways to enjoy the benefits of CBD, did you know that you can add CBD oil into everyday recipes? Since the chillier winter months have us craving some serious comfort food, we have some easy and delicious recipes for 3 classics with a CBD twist (plus added wellness benefits) that you and your loved ones can enjoy this holiday season and beyond.

CBD Peppermint Mocha Latte

Ingredients:
1 cup milk of your choice (regular or plant-based)
3 tablespoons of strong coffee or one shot of espresso
2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
1 dropper of peppermint CBD oil or 1 dropper unflavored CBD oil and ¼ teaspoon of peppermint extract

Directions:
Warm milk in the microwave for about two minutes in a microwave-safe mug. Remove and whisk milk vigorously. Add one shot of espresso or 3 tablespoons of strong coffee. Mix in 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup. Add 1 dropper of peppermint CBD oil or 1 dropper unflavored oil and 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract. Mix well to combine.
Optional: Top with a light sprinkle of cocoa powder to garnish.

Servings: 1 latte

EMPUROS TIP: Try different flavor combinations with Moon Mother Hemp's Holiday Tincture Sampler Kit. When enjoying your beverage at different times of the day, we'd recommend Serene Cannabis' Day & Night CBG + CBN Tincture Bundle for varying effects.

CBD Twice-Baked Potato

Ingredients:
1 medium/large potato of your choice, Russet is preferred
2-5 tablespoons olive oil
Sea salt and pepper to taste
Parmesan Cheese to your liking
Optional mix-ins: butter, garlic powder, cheddar cheese
Baking Sheet (sized to accommodate the amount of potatoes you are making)

Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F. Rinse potatoes well and dry with a paper towel. Use a fork to poke holes in potatoes. Rub olive oil over each potato then sprinkle with sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. Place potatoes on a baking sheet. Bake potatoes for an hour at 375 degrees F.

Cool potatoes for about 20 to 30 minutes, until they can be easily handled. Cut potatoes in half and scoop out the flesh and into a bowl. Mash potatoes with a fork and add in your favorite ingredients to your preference. (We love butter, garlic powder, cheddar cheese, and more!) Add a dropper of CBD oil to mashed potatoes and mix well. Rub the skins with some more olive oil, then scoop mashed potatoes into the skins.

Sprinkle potatoes with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20-30 minutes. Remove from the oven, serve and enjoy!

EMPUROS NOTE: We're big fans of Serene Cannabis' 2000mg Super Strength Tincture for this recipe.

CBD Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup of unsalted butter (softened)
2 ¼ cups of flour
¾ cup of granulated sugar
¾ cup of brown sugar (packed)
2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
200 mg unflavored CBD oil
A baking sheet to accommodate the amount of cookies you would like
Optional: 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts

Directions:
In a large bowl, sift 2 ¼ cups of flour with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of salt. Set aside. In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of softened butter and 200mg CBD oil. Add 3/4 cup each of granulated sugar and brown sugar to the bowl, and mix well. Add 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Add flour, baking soda and salt mixture to wet ingredients and mix well. Add in 2 cups of chocolate chips and optional walnuts.

Place the bowl of cookie dough in the fridge for about an hour. Twenty minutes before you’re ready to bake, pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Place rounded scoops of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cookies cool before serving.

    Servings: Makes about 40 cookies
